Click here to read the agenda from Tuesday’s City Council Worksession
Craig’s Highlights:
Pickleball Courts – City staff is beginning the process of getting estimates for converting current tennis courts at Lawton Park to Pickleball Courts. Nothing is being decided on this as of now and it is in the preliminary phase.
Short Term Rentals – City staff is preparing an ordinance on short term rentals, they are using a model from the Town of Bluffton and adapting it to the City of Hartsville. A flushed out version will be presented to the Zoning Commission in August and is estimated to be brought to City Council in September. I’ll be sure to bring the proposed ordinance to your attention once it is available.
Tech Hub Letter of Commitment – The city is writing a letter of support, for a grant from the US Economic Development Administration for a Tech Hub in Hartsville. This does not require any additional funding commitments and is the first step in the process. I will keep you posted on this as well!
